Christine K. Vogel

Christine K. Vogel

DVM, Practice Owner/Veterinarian

This veterinary practice is the culmination of a lifetime devoted to animals, family, and the people who love their pets like family. As a veterinarian, dog mom, cat mom, wife, and mother, I understand firsthand how stressful and overwhelming veterinary visits can feel, especially when balancing the demands of a busy life. My mission has always been to create an experience where both pets and their people feel supported, understood, and genuinely cared for.

My career has carried me through every corner of companion animal veterinary medicine: large multi-doctor hospitals, small one-doctor clinics, part-time and full-time roles, and years of relief work. I have practiced in bustling metropolitan areas like Denver, Colorado, as well as tight-knit small towns such as Kasson, Minnesota. These diverse experiences shaped my belief that great veterinary care is not “one size fits all.” Instead, it is built on individualized treatment plans shaped by the unique needs, limitations, and goals of each family.

I embrace technology that makes pet care more accessible and convenient, including modern communication tools, online scheduling, and virtual visits; practical solutions for today’s fast-paced, high-stress world. While there are many things I  cannot control such as rising costs, economic pressures, supply challenges, or the shifting landscape of corporate veterinary medicine, I remain deeply committed to the things I  can control: who I  work with, how people are treated, how pets are cared for, and how clients are made to feel.

At the heart of my practice is a simple but powerful philosophy: veterinarians should be the guide, not the hero. My goal is to support pet owners in becoming the heroes of their pets’ stories, offering compassion, options, personalized care, and multiple payment pathways so families feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. Every pet, every person, and every visit matters, and that belief is woven into everything we do here an Animal Health Care Veterinary Hospital.

Beth Wohlert

Beth Wohlert

DVM, Veterinarian

Dr. Beth Wohlert is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine who joined the team at Animal Health Care in 2012. She grew up on a small dairy farm in NE Iowa. With her siblings she enjoyed a menagerie of pets both indoor and outdoor. Her best friend growing up was a black Cockapoo named Petey, who enjoyed chasing skunks, along with the baths and attention this behavior gained. This piqued her interest in caring for animals of all sizes. After high school she obtained her Bachelor degree in Biology in 2005 at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. She then pursued her DVM at Iowa State University where she graduated in 2009.

Her favorite part of this job is getting to know the pets, and the clients who have become part of the AHCVH family. She greatly enjoys the energy, humor of the staff, and the commitment to good quality medicine, surgery, and preventative care.

She currently lives in Caledonia, MN where she farms with her husband, Tyler and their soon to be 1 year old son Jonah. She is very excited to get the chance to meet you!

Dr. Muellner’s professional interests include preventative care, senior care, dentistry, and dermatology.

Outside of work, she enjoys family time with her husband, 3 kids, and being active outdoors. Dr. Muellner is excited to be part of the team here at Animal Health Care Veterinary Hospital.

Amy

Amy

Veterinary Assistant

Hello, my name is Amy. I have lived in the Rochester area for the last 12 years. I graduated from RCTC in 2014, with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Life took me on a different path where I worked at a boarding/daycare facility for almost 10 years. I am happy to be back in a Vet Clinic setting. I joined AHCVH in January of 2023 as their Veterinary Assistant.

My fiancé and I live outside of Rochester with our two furbabies Meeka (Morkie) and Myra (Shepherd/Coonhound Mix)

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and friends. During the summer you will find me kayaking, swimming in our pool or at the lake, and tubing down the river. I like to go for walks or hike the trails around Rochester.

I am excited to meet you and your furbabies!

Dayana

Dayana

Remote Customer Service Representative

Hello! My name is Dayana and I am the remote CSR that gets to speak with most of you! I grew up in Rochester and graduated from Mayo High school in 2011. I came to the practice in the summer of 2018 and loved being a part of this team. I did end up moving to California in the fall of 2020 and had to say goodbye to AHCVH. A little over a year in January of 2022, I was so happy to return as a remote CSR. I love being able to still get to know all our furry patients and still be able to catch up with our returning clients. My favorite part about working for Animal Health care is being able to be a part of such a great team that works hard to be able to provide the best possible care to all our patients and being able to educate our fur parents on pet care. On my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and taking my daughter to Disneyland. I also have a fur shih-tzu baby, Kiko. I am so happy to be here!

Russ Vogel

Russ Vogel

IT Manager

Raised as an Iowa farm boy I learned to be creatively resourceful and have always been a “Do-It-Yourself” kind of person.  I also found I was very good with math and science and computers during my elementary & high school years.  After high school, I attended Iowa State University in Ames, IA, where I met my wonderful wife, Dr. Christine Vogel.  We then moved to Denver in 2000 and I got my feet wet in the telecommunications industry with AT&T Broadband (now part of Comcast).  In 2004 our son was born and was quickly followed by our daughter in 2005.  In 2006 we decided to pack the family and herd of pets up and move back to the Midwest where we were closer to our families.  Continuing my career in telecommunications, I took a position with Charter Communications (now part of Spectrum).  In 2008 the opportunity to help my wife get into a private practice of her own became available and we jumped at it.  It needed lots of work though.  Not a single computer in the place and still had wood paneling on the walls from the ’70s.  Lots of sweat and tears have gone into this business since then.

In 2017 I left Spectrum and went back to school and in two very short years, I finished my B.S. in Data Science/Data Management.  Now in the years leading up to this point, I had spent a lot of my spare time helping at AHCVH with IT support and it had very much become a family affair with everyone helping in some way. So… what do I decide to do?  Why not start my own IT services company (as if we didn’t have enough on our plate already)!   And in 2018 I founded Red Stapler Geek Support offering in-home IT support but still very much a part of the AHCVH family.
